What the eye does not see

Joe Nickell

According to a belief that has survived since ancient times, the aura is radiation emitting the energy field-presumably-emanates from and surrounds all living things. Can not be seen with the naked eye, but by clairvoyance. Although "not found evidence to prove its existence" [Guiley, 1991], the concept has thrived as pseudoscience. For example, in his 1911 book, The Human Atmosphere, Dr. Walter J. Kilner argued that not only could see the aura and use it for diagnosis, but also accepted the validity of the missing rays N. The British Medical Journal magazine was laughing, and rightly so. Current self-proclaimed

medical intuitive Caroline Myss and [1997], claim to describe the nature of physical illnesses of people reading your energy field. Thus Myss "may make recommendations for the treatment of the disease both physically and spiritually." This hypothetical process called energy medicine, but offers no scientific evidence to support its alleged powers (the magazine New Age Magazine stated that Myss no longer offers conferences, and called me by defining the practice as "offensive and dangerous "[Koontz, 2000]).

The human body actually emit certain radiations, including weak-electromagnetic emissions caused by the electrical activity of nerves, "chemical releases, some of which can be detected, such as body odor," sound waves "by physical processes taking place inside the body, and so forth. Students of the paranormal sometimes equate these radiations with aura [Permutt, 1988], although not representing a single unified phenomenon, nor which has been shown to possess mystical properties attributed to the aura.
The cause aura photography feeling psychic fairs and other festivals, but is this really what seems to be?
