Although the semester is over I wanted to introduce a search engine called "ecoGG" which is based on the Google search engine.
ecoGG Google is a search engine with a black design. The concept comes from the environmental blog treehugger.com . It is stressed that using a black Google is possible to save 750 hours of megawatt (750 MWh) per year
What is the idea?
A normal display consumes 74 watts to provide a white web page, but to present a black only consumes 59 watts. This means that you get a reduction of 15 watts which is 20.27%.
It asserts that through color change and 200 million web page presentations to Google per day, it could save the energy produced by a nuclear power plant!
With ecoGG can search online and save energy at the same time and all that with the success of Google!
