A Brief History
The word "google" is a modification of the word "googol" was invented for refer to the figure consisting of one with a hundred zeros (10 ^ 100). The company says this name means to express their main objective is to place and manage the immense amount of information provided by the Internet.
Google has its origin in the United States. The company was founded in Mountain View, California, where two students (Larry Page and Sergey Brin) Stanford University invented the world's most popular search engine. The company officially started its business in the autumn of 1999. Back in September 1999 had very good results in 3.5 million hits per day. In 2004 significantly increased access to a number of 200 million.

Google today
Today Google is a company that has approximately 12,200 employees and has a profit of 592.3 million dollars (438.03 million euros).
Google is no longer just a search engine but has become a brand with tremendous value. An article in a famous German newspaper said that Google already is the brand with the largest value in the world. The company has already outgrown persecutors as General Electric, Microsoft and Coca Cola. The brand has a value of 63.44 billion dollars (almost 49 billion euros).
Google's power in some markets
Google already has a monopoly. For example in the German market, Google has a market share of 90%. For this reason experts in the field of media have concerns because of the power to influence people. So some of them already speak of a company Google.
In my opinion it should reflect on the power of this company. She participates in many areas of life because of their services (search, Gmail, Google-Earth, Google-Talk, Picasa, Blogs, word processing programs ...).
A troubling fact is that Google saves every request in your browser that is connected to the IP address. This means that you can easily find out who has searched for what things through the Google service. The company maintains huge databases that contain the Internet habits of millions of people and it is likely that other organizations have access to these bases in order to use the data collected.
Although the success of this company is very impressive, I argue that especially in the field of information monopoly situation only one company can be unsettling because it presents information to decide what to whom. Here I refer to the video I put on the title "A fiction."
